UW-Eau Claire sends message to California alumni affected
by wildfires

November 2007

Approximately 770 UW-Eau Claire alumni live in the area of southern California ravaged by wildfires in October. John Bachmeier, UW-Eau Claire director of alumni relations, sent many of those alumni the following e-mail message on Nov. 1:

Dear Southern California Blugolds,

We at UW-Eau Claire want you to know that our thoughts are with you as you deal with the effects of the recent wildfires in southern California. As we watch the news reports, we can only imagine what you must be going through.  While the UW-Eau Claire Campus is geographically far from the devastation, we want you to know that we are thinking about you and your loved ones. Please let me know if there is anything our campus can do for you during these trying times.

Sincerely,

John Bachmeier '81
Director, Alumni Relations
