Leadership library now available for students, staff

RELEASED: Sept. 30, 2011

EAU CLAIRE — University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire students, faculty and staff will find an array of resources to help them develop personal leadership skills and lead their student organizations more effectively in a new leadership library set up in the Activities, Involvement and Leadership office in Davies Center 133.

The library hosts a variety of books, training CD presentations and team-building equipment to meet any leadership need. Some of the topics addressed include planning a student retreat, effective communication, how to manage officer transitions, creating an inclusive event, ways to recognize or reward team members, and fundraising information.

Staff, faculty and students may check out any item free of charge for two weeks. Materials may be renewed twice after the due date, for an additional week each renewal.

Resources can be reserved and renewed online through the OrgSync portal.

More information is available through Katy Rand, coordinator of student leadership at 715-836-4803. Activities, Involvement and Leadership is a unit of the University Centers.
