October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month

EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire will recognize October as the National Disability Employment Awareness Month by hosting a variety of events. All events are free and open to the public.
Tuesday, Oct. 4:
- Screening of "Temple Grandin," the story of a young woman's perseverance and determination while struggling with the isolating challenges of autism. 6:30 p.m., Davies Theatre.
Tuesday, Oct. 11:
- Screening of "Music Within," the true story of Richard Pimentel, who returns from Vietnam with severe hearing loss and finds a new purpose in his efforts on behalf of Americans with disabilities. 6:30 p.m., Davies Theatre.

- Screening of "See What I'm Saying," an award-winning documentary that follows four well-known entertainers in the deaf community as they overcome personal obstacles and celebrate professional landmarks. 6:30 p.m., Davies Theatre.
