'Blugolds Forever' pep rally set for Sept. 22

RELEASED: Sept. 14, 2011

EAU CLAIRE — A "Blugolds Forever" pep rally will begin at 11:30 a.m. Sept. 22 on the Central Campus Mall at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.

The rally will be held in advance of the Blugold football team's game against the UW-River Falls Falcons. The football game will begin at 1 p.m. Sept. 24 in Carson Park.

The Blugold Marching Band will perform during the pep rally. Todd Glaser, Blugold football head coach, will speak during the rally and several of the Blugold football players will be available to talk with people attending the pep rally. Five hundred free T-shirts will be distributed at the event, and signed Blugold football jerseys will be given away. The event also will feature a DJ, a trivia contest and a performance by the university's Cheer and Stunt Team.
