Two nontraditional students awarded Chancellor's scholarships

RELEASED: Sept. 1, 2011

EAU CLAIRE — University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire students Abdifatah Kofiro, Barron, and Jessica Stickler, Eau Claire, have been awarded Nontraditional Student Chancellor's scholarships for the 2011-12 academic year.

The scholarships are awarded to incoming freshmen or nontraditional transfer students seeking bachelor's degrees. Applications are evaluated on a variety of criteria, including academic achievement in previous college or high school course work, prior life experiences, potential for academic success at UW-Eau Claire, evidence of previous service and leadership experience and the quality of the submitted essay.
