EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire will host the 2011 International Folk Fair from noon-4 p.m. Oct. 30 in Davies Center. The event is free and open to the public.
The International Folk Fair — the largest international festival of its kind in the area — will bring the community together in celebration of culture. The event offers an enriching cultural and educational experience.
Participants can sample foods from around the world, experience the history and languages of other cultures, and be entertained by international performers.
Stark Scandinavian Singers will perform songs from Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Iceland and Finland. The Irish Dance Club also will provide entertainment.
Students, faculty, staff and community members that represent more than 40 different countries/cultures will participate in the fair. Many community and campus organizations will provide cultural exhibits during the annual event.
