Jeff Civillico will provide entertainment

EAU CLAIRE —An Oct. 22 entertainment showcase featuring kinetic comedian Jeff Civillico and comic hypnotist Sailesh will highlight Parents' Weekend at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Doors will open at 7:30 p.m. for the 8 p.m. show in Zorn Arena.

Civillico is a Las Vegas-based headline entertainer who blends his perfected art of juggling with comedy, balancing, athleticism and audience participation. He performs his "Comedy in Action" show on the Las Vegas Strip, has his own dinner show at Caesars Palace, and works regularly as a guest performer in "Nathan Burton: Comedy Magic" at The Flamingo. Civillico has been recognized for his skill both as a technical juggler and a comedian. By the age of 15, he had already won the gold medal in his division at the International Jugglers Association World Championships. Recently, he was named a finalist at the Las Vegas Comedy Festival.

Civillico currently serves as the co-chair of membership for the National Speakers Association of Las Vegas and president of the Georgetown University Alumni Club of Las Vegas. His latest endeavor is Win-Win Entertainment, a nonprofit he recently created to pair performers willing to donate their time and talent with charity organizations in need of entertainment.

Certified hypnotherapist
Sailesh will perform

MTV Europe has called Sailesh "the best hypnotist on the planet." He takes his audience on a fantastical journey using hypnosis, comedy, improv and music to create an interactive show that features volunteers.

"Strength lies in numbers, and the more volunteers that choose to come up on stage and be the stars the more merry the show is," Sailesh says.

Sailesh frequently showcases at regional and national conferences of the National Association for Campus Activities and the Association for Campus Activities, and has several nominations for Best Campus Live Novelty Artist and Campus Entertainer of the Year. Originally from the Fiji Islands, Sailesh and his family migrated to Canada when he was a young boy. He now lives in California with his wife and son. He is a certified hypnotherapist and has practiced hypnosis for more than 15 years.

The show is open to all ages. Tickets are $7 for the public or $5 for UW-Eau Claire Blugold Card holders and their families and guests. Tickets are available at the Service Center in Davies Center's east lobby and will be sold at the door.

Tickets may be charged to MasterCard, Visa or Discover when ordered by phone. Call 715-836-3727 — or, outside the immediate Eau Claire area, call toll-free 800-949-UWEC. A $3 handling fee is added to all telephone charge orders.

The Parents' Weekend entertainment showcase is sponsored by the University Activities Commission of the UW-Eau Claire Student Senate.
