Forensics team places second in Twin Cities tournament

EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire forensics team continued its success at the Twin Cities Forensics League Tournament Nov. 15 at Normandale Community College.
UW-Eau Claire's forensics team placed second in team sweepstakes and qualified several students for the National Forensic Association National Tournament.
Individual results are as follows:
- Sophomore Imran Khan, Brooklyn Park, Minn., and freshman Caitlyn Duley, Saint Michael, Minn., placed second in duo interpretation, qualifying them for the NFA tournament. Duley also placed fourth in after-dinner speaking, qualifying her for the NFA tournament.
- Sophomore Stephen Fong, Milwaukee, placed third in extemporaneous speaking, qualifying him for the NFA tournament. He also placed first in communication analysis.
- Senior Jessica Krentz, Weston, placed second in impromptu speaking, qualifying her for the NFA tournament. Krentz also placed first in persuasion.
- Freshman Kyra Witcher, Apple Valley, Minn., placed third in dramatic interpretation, qualifying her for the NFA tournament.
- Junior Megan Chilman, Le Sueur, Minn., placed second in dramatic interpretation, qualifying her for the NFA tournament.
- Junior Abby Rand, La Crosse, placed first in informative speaking and second in communication analysis.
- Senior Kindra Kressin, Champion, Neb., placed second in prose, qualifying her for the NFA tournament. She also placed third in program oral interpretation.
