RELEASED: Nov. 22, 2011

EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Women's Chorus, under the direction of Richard Moses, associate lecturer of music, will perform its fall concert at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 28 in Gantner Concert Hall of the Haas Fine Arts Center.

The concert will feature a student quartet of George Frederick Handel's "Praise the Lord." The quartet is made up of freshman Rachel Biegel, Eau Claire; freshman Leah Henderson, Two Rivers; sophomore Anna Redovich, Greendale; and freshman Brianna Noeldner, Suamico.

Guest ensemble "Girls Night Out," an all-female a cappella group, also will perform selections, including Stephen Foster's "Some Folks," featuring freshman Hannah Pardon, Hartford, and junior Emily Anderson Minnetonka, Minn., as soloists. More information about the performance can be found in the concert program.

Moses, who has conducted the Women's Chorus since fall 2009, graduated from UW-Milwaukee with a post-bachelor's certification in 1994. He also holds a bachelor's degree in music composition and a master's degree in music theory from UW-Madison.

For 17 years Moses has directed choral activities in the Altoona School District, where he leads all choral groups and provides voice lessons to high school choral students.

The Women's Chorus consists of 70 women from a variety of academic programs at UW-Eau Claire. Members are selected through audition and the group performs one concert each semester in Gantner Concert Hall, as well as other performances throughout the year.

Tickets, available online and at the University Service Center, 715-836-3727 or 800-949-UWEC, are $5 for adults; $3 for seniors, those 17 and younger, and faculty and staff with a university ID; and free for UW-Eau Claire students with a student ID.
