Lane and Cruciani to perform faculty recital Nov. 13

EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire will host a faculty recital featuring flutist Dr. Timothy Lane and pianist Lori Cruciani at 2 p.m. Nov. 13 in Phillips Recital Hall of the Haas Fine Arts Center.

Lane has performed with the Cleveland Orchestra, the Orquestra Sinfonica de Veracruz and the Ohio Chamber Orchestra. He is an active recitalist and has recorded a solo CD for Zuma Records Inc., titled "Shards of Glass, Romantic Twentieth Century Flute Music." He also has recorded music for Centaur and Tel Arc

Lane holds a bachelor's degree in music from the Cleveland Institute of Music and master's and doctoral degrees from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. A professor of music at UW-Eau Claire, Lane performs with the Wisconsin Wind Quartet, presenting recitals on and off campus.

Cruciani has performed with many area groups, including the Eau Claire Chamber Orchestra. She is an active member of the Wisconsin Music Teachers Association and the National Federation of Music Clubs, often serving as an adjudicator.

Cruciani holds bachelor's and master's degrees in music from UW-Eau Claire. She began teaching as a lecturer in the department of music and theatre arts in 1998. Cruciani is a frequent performer and accompanist on campus, collaborating with faculty and students.

The Nov. 13 faculty recital is free and open to the public.
