EAU CLAIRE —The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Theatre for Young Audiences will present "The Falcon" during 1:30 p.m. matinees April 2-3 in Riverside Theatre of the Haas Fine Arts Center.
"The Falcon" is an adaptation of the Russian folk tale, "Fenist, the Bright Falcon." The plot features a young woman who must decide whether to marry the boy next door who promises security or an adventuresome prince. The production, which is geared toward children 5-12, is directed by Dr. Jennifer Chapman, assistant professor of theatre arts.
General admission tickets, available at the University Service Center, 715-836-3727 or 800-949-UWEC, are $5 for the public and $3 for children under 13.
The Spring 2011 Theatre for Young Audiences Tour also will perform in area elementary schools Tuesday and Thursday mornings April 5-May 12. Teachers interested in booking tour performances should contact Dr. Jennifer Chapman at chapmajj@uwec.edu.
