Online "Teaching Adult Learners" program to begin May 23

EAU CLAIRE — University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Continuing Education/UW-Extension is offering “Teaching Adult Learners,” an online program for educators in higher education, community educators, workshop presenters and others interested in facilitating adult education programs.  The three-graduate-credit program will begin May 23 and end July 1.

Dr. Susan McIntyre, a professor in the UW-Eau Claire College of Education and Human Sciences, is the course instructor.  She has provided training to adult educators across the United States and continuously works to help struggling adults achieve their educational goals.

Topics covered in the course include the nature and needs of adult learners, new approaches to adult learning programs, methods of instructing and evaluating adult learners, and recent trends and projections in adult education.
