Student Development Council recognizes outstanding employees and programs

Chris Jorgenson provided entertainment at the Student Development Council recognition awards.

EAU CLAIRE — The Student Development Council at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire recently recognized outstanding individuals who facilitate the intellectual and personal development of students. A reception and awards program were held May 9 in Davies Center to celebrate those who appreciate the diverse interests and needs of students and demonstrate a deep commitment to the mission of UW-Eau Claire.

Recipients were as follows:

Unclassified Staff Excellence Award — Dr. Bruce Ouderkirk, director of student support services.

LTE/Classified Staff Excellence Award — Diane Bilderback, program associate, Dean of Students office.

Undergraduate Student Employee Excellence Award — senior national exchange student Matt Winarski, of Memphis, Tenn.

Graduate Student Employee Excellence Award — Brett Schreiner of Eau Claire.

Programs of Excellence Awards — Civil Rights Pilgrimage, Break the Silence and Internship Mania.

Student Affairs Chair of Excellence, Candice Wilson, associate director of University Centers.
