RELEASED: Feb. 4, 2011
EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire forensics team took second place in team sweepstakes Feb. 1 at the Twin Cities Forensics League Tournament 4, hosted by Normandale Community College in Bloomington, Minn.
Several students qualified for the American Forensic Association National Tournament and the National Forensic Association National Tournament.
Individual results for Feb. 1:
Sophomore Emily Gresbrink, Rochester, Minn., placed fourth in informative speaking, qualifying for NFA. Gresbrink also placed third in after-dinner speaking.
Sophomore Megan McKeown, Eagan, Minn., placed first in dramatic interpretation and fifth in prose.
Sophomore Abby Rand, Melrose, placed sixth in informative speaking.
Junior Natalie Hunter, Vadnais Heights, Minn., placed second in informative speaking, qualifying for AFA. Hunter also placed first in poetry.
Sophomore Megan Chilman, Le Sueur, Minn., placed fourth in poetry, qualifying for NFA.
Junior Kindra Kressin, Eau Claire, placed third in poetry, qualifying for NFA.
