UW-Eau Claire veterans send care packages to troops Dec. 9

RELEASED: Dec. 8, 2011

EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's Veterans Club and Military Education Benefits Office will send approximately 15 care packages during the "packages for troops" effort Dec. 9.

Items such as body wash, granola bars, toothpaste, popcorn, dental floss, newspapers and disposable cameras were collected during the month of November. These items will be handed out to soldiers in outlying posts.

The Veterans and Military Education Benefits Office assists veterans in applying for their G.I. Bill benefits and advises them about other benefits available from the state and federal governments.
