Supervisory management workshops
to be offered this fall

EAU CLAIRE — University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's Center for Business Solutions will present workshops from the Supervisory Management Certificate Program in September and October. Designed for managers, supervisors and small business owners, workshops may be taken individually or as part of the certificate program requirements. Programs will meet from 8:30 a.m.-4 p.m. at Americas Best Value Inn in Eau Claire or at Citizens State Bank in Hudson. The workshops are:

  • "Supervisory Management 1": Sept. 15-16 at Citizens State Bank, Hudson, and Sept. 22-23 at Americas Best Value Inn, Eau Claire. Topics include the supervisory aspect of management, understanding your leadership style, motivating employee performance and dealing with non-performance.
  • "Supervisory Management 2": Oct. 13-14 at Citizens State Bank, Hudson, and Oct. 27-28 at Americas Best Value Inn, Eau Claire. Topics include establishing orientation policies and procedures, understanding communication behaviors, time management, delegating and developing your employees.
  • "Managing Projects and Project Teams": Oct. 13-14 at Americas Best Value Inn, Eau Claire. Topics include how to run efficient team meetings, long-range project planning techniques, systems for organizing multiple projects, generating project "buy in," enlisting power brokers for project support, solving unexpected problems and strategies for handling crisis situations.

The individual course fee is $450 per person and includes lunch, materials and instruction. A discount of $50 per seminar is offered for three or more registrations. Registrations may be any combination of attendees or seminars from the entire Supervisory Management Certificate Program and must be received at the same time.
