Student center construction to require April 22 water shutoff in some campus buildings

RELEASED: April 20, 2011

EAU CLAIRE — Work on the new W.R. Davies Student Center construction project will require water to be shut off for approximately four hours starting at 3 p.m. April 22 in several lower-campus buildings at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.

The shutoff will affect Schofield Hall, Old Library, McIntyre Library, Thomas Hall, Putnam Hall and part of the current Davies Center. Restrooms, showers, sinks and drinking fountains in the affected buildings will not be operational during the shutoff, with the exception of four restrooms (room numbers 148, 149, 152 and 154) in the east end of Davies Center.

Questions about the water shutoff may be directed to Christopher Hessel, construction project coordinator for UW-Eau Claire Facilities Management, at 715-836-2518 or hesselc@uwec.edu.
