SUBJECT: PHOTO OPPORTUNITY — Students to install recycling containers at Hobbs Ice Arena, Carson Park football stadium
To improve recycling rates at two popular Eau Claire sports venues, UW-Eau Claire environmental public health students today will help install 30 new recycling containers at Hobbs Ice Arena and the Carson Park football stadium.
The students, along with Dr. Crispin Pierce, associate professor of health professions, will begin assembling and installing the containers at Hobbs Ice Arena at 1:30 p.m. and then travel to the Carson Park football stadium to install the rest of the containers.
Pierce, along with representatives from Midwest Coca-Cola in Eau Claire, Eau Claire County, the city of Eau Claire and the local community action group Joining Our Neighbors, Advancing Hope (JONAH), were partners in the effort to obtain the $1,500 worth of ClearStream containers, which were donated by The Coca-Cola Co.
For more information, contact Dr. Crispin Pierce at 715-836-5589 or piercech@uwec.edu.
