Musical events for the week of Sept. 26

EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire music and theatre arts department will present the following musical performances the week beginning Sunday, Sept. 26. All events are free and open to the public.

Sunday, Sept. 26:

  • Dr. Mitra Sadeghpour, associate professor of music, will present a soprano voice recital at 2 p.m. in Gantner Concert Hall of the Haas Fine Arts Center. Assisted on piano by Dr. Barbara Young, lecturer of music, Sadeghpour will present selections by Richard Strauss, Giacomo Puccini, Francis Poulenc, Joaquin Turina and others.

Monday, Sept. 27:

  • Junior Joe Aumann, Hartford, will present a trombone recital at 5 p.m. in Phillips Recital Hall of the Haas Fine Arts Center. Assisted on piano by Audrey Rhinehart and Roger Bethard, Aumann will present selections by John Stevens, senior Greg Ellis, Carl Maria von Weber and Jacques Castérède.
