Tip Sheet for the week of Sept. 13, 2010

RELEASED: Sept. 13, 2010

Story Idea
A 2006 Memorial High School graduate was among the UW-Eau Claire students who traveled with two faculty members to Thailand this summer to present research and install a photography exhibit. Rachel Konsella, a senior art major, was one of five students who participated in the international immersion experience. The students spent two semesters helping to plan and produce the photography exhibit, which featured the work of Wanrudee Buranakorn, an assistant professor of art & design at UW-Eau Claire who is a native of Thailand. The summer exhibit was the first time Buranakorn exhibited her work in her homeland. While in Thailand, the group toured the art facilities and viewed work in progress by students at Rangsit and Assumption universities in Bangkok. You can contact Konsella at konselrj@uwec.edu.
