Discussion on women and sexual health slated for Nov. 1

RELEASED: Oct. 25, 2010

WAGE posterEAU CLAIRE — The Women's and Gender Equity Center will hold "Let's Talk About Sex Baby: Women, Sexual Health, and Communication," an interactive article discussion about women, communication and sexual health at 6 p.m. Nov. 1 at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. Participants should gather in the TV lounge located in the basement of Sutherland Hall on upper campus.

The featured article, "Hot and Bothered: Unmasking Male Lust" will focus on the difficulty, but importance, of engaging in healthy sexual communication, myths associated with gender and sex, the role of sex and sexuality in modern society, and the sexual double standard.

Each month, WAGE and Sutherland Hall host an article discussion that addresses a different women's issue. Articles for the discussion can be accessed on the WAGE website. Future fall 2010 article discussion topics will include the role of celebrity wives, girlfriends and mothers, and violence against women. Events are free and open to the public.
