Musical events for the week of Oct. 24

EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire music and theatre arts department will present the following musical performances the week beginning Sunday, Oct. 24. All events are free and open to the public.

Sunday, Oct. 24:

  • Senior Stephanie Kass, Cedarburg, will present her capstone dance recital at 2 p.m. in Gantner Concert Hall of the Haas Fine Arts Center. The recital will highlight Kass' achievements in choreography and dance, and feature music from The Pipkins, "The Little Mermaid," "The Princess and the Frog," "Chicago" and more.

Tuesday, Oct. 26:

  • Senior Sam Emmons, Barron, will present a piano recital at 5 p.m. in Phillips Recital Hall of the Haas Fine Arts Center.
  • Senior Carl Schroeder, Plymouth, will present his degree composition recital at 7:30 p.m. in Gantner Concert Hall of the Haas Fine Arts Center. Music students will perform Schroeder's original pieces including "Anti-Freeze Old Fashioned, Sweet," "Sentient Soft Drink from Hell," "Three Movements for Horn and Tuba," "Exit Hernia" and "Crickets."
