Nursing department staff recognized at state event

RELEASED: Oct. 11, 2010

EAU CLAIRE — Five staff members from the College of Nursing and Health Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire were honored as Wisconsin Nurses Association "Faces of Nursing" at the 2010 WNA/Wisconsin Student Nurses Association Annual Meeting and Conference Oct. 7-9 in Madison.

Those recognized were Dr. Jan Berry, professor of nursing; Dr. Cheryl Brandt, associate professor of nursing; Karen Maddox, associate professor of nursing and interim chair, public health professions/environmental public health; Dr. Susan Moch, professor of nursing; and Lorraine Smith, assistant to the dean of nursing, senior student services coordinator and director of the BSN@Home program.

According to the WNA, honorees are acknowledged for their accomplishments and contributions to the profession and the association. Members of the WNA Faces of Nursing Committee were especially looking for members who do great things, but aren't often recognized, and members who represent the diversity of WNA's membership.
