Career fair logoEAU CLAIRE — Career Services at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire will offer a variety of activities Oct. 18-22 during Explore Your Possibilities week.

Hosted by Possibility Pete, the mascot of Career Services, the annual event features more than 50 presentations on topics related to careers and majors.

A kickoff party will run from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Oct. 18 in the Career Services office in Schofield 230. Treats, prizes and information on how students can participate in Explore Your Possibilities week will be offered.

Throughout the week employers, faculty, staff and invited alumni will talk about a variety of majors and careers, ways to get work experience and the job search. Most sessions will help students prepare for success in many areas of their lives, not just in choosing a career path.

Students should register online prior to the event by visiting Possibility Pete's website. Faculty and staff also are welcome to attend the sessions.

The week will culminate with the Majors Fair, hosted by Academic Advising from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Oct. 22 in the Council Fire Room of Davies Center.

Representatives from many businesses and organizations will speak at this year's event, including the Wisconsin DNR, American Red Cross, Hormel Foods, Sacred Heart Hospital, Country Jam USA, Primerica, Peace Corps and many more.

Sponsors include Hormel Foods, Northwestern Mutual, Xcel Energy, Church Mutual Insurance, American Family Insurance and Sherwin-Williams.

For more information, visit the Explore Your Possibilities website or contact Jesica Witte, Career Services event planning and marketing coordinator, at 715-836-5358.
