EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire University Band, under the direction of Dr. Randal Dickerson, associate professor of music, will perform its fall concert at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 22 in Gantner Concert Hall of the Haas Fine Arts Center.
The band will begin its concert with Camille Saint-Saens' "Pas Redouble," Op. 86, followed by "Fanfare and Allegro" by Clifton Williams and "Elisa's Procession to the Cathedral from 'Lohengrin'" by Richard Wagner. The band also will perform Hugh M. Stuart's "Three Ayres from Gloucester" and "Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night" by Elliot Del Borgo. The group will conclude its performance with "Hands Across the Sea" by John Philip Sousa.
The University Band is composed of talented musicians from many academic disciplines, including music majors, some of whom choose to perform on a secondary instrument.
Tickets, available at the University Service Center, 715-836-3727 or 800-949-UWEC, are $5 for the general public; $3 for those 62 and older, 17 and younger, and faculty and staff with a university ID; and free for students with a university ID.
