Guest speaker to discuss nursing, health care in Kenya

RELEASED: Nov. 9, 2010

EAU CLAIRE — A nursing faculty member on sabbatical from Kenya Methodist University will make two presentations about health care issues in Kenya Nov. 11 at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.

Dr. Yema Luhahi, who teaches at Kenya Methodist University in Meru, Kenya, will present "Nursing in Kenya" from 2-3:15 p.m. in Room 104 of the Nursing Building. The presentation is free and open to the public.

Luhahi also will present "Health Care and Health Needs in Central Rural Kenya" to UW-Eau Claire nursing students, faculty and staff from 11 a.m.-12:50 p.m. in Room 104 of the Nursing Building. Nursing students, faculty and staff also are invited to a reception for Luhahi from 4:30-5:30 p.m. in Room 154 of the Nursing Building.
