EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire chapter of the Omicron Delta Kappa Honor Society initiated 49 students April 24 during Honors Week at UW-Eau Claire.
Omicron Delta Kappa is a national leadership honor society for college students, faculty, staff, administrators and alumni that recognizes and encourages exemplary scholarship, leadership and character. The organization recognizes achievement in the following areas: scholarship, athletics, campus/community service, social/religious activities, campus government, journalism, speech and the mass media, and creative and performing arts. Emphasis is placed on the development of the whole person, both as a member of the university community and as a contributor to a better society.
Members of the UW-Eau Claire chapter of Omicron Delta Kappa have selected the following executive board for the 2010-11 academic year: Wade Hansen, Eau Claire, president and webmaster; Deanna Schlies, Denmark, vice president; Matt Sackmann, Clinton, treasurer; and Maegan Evans, Fitchburg, secretary.
