SUBJECT: Lovestock, Music in the Park events change locations due to weather
Two University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire-affiliated events scheduled for today have changed locations due to a forecast for inclement weather:
- Putnam Lovestock, to be held from 11 a.m.-6 p.m., will move from its outdoor campus location to Zorn Arena. Lovestock, sponsored by UW-Eau Claire's Putnam Hall and The Wellness Shack, which aids community members with mental illness, is an annual music and food festival that helps to raise awareness and money for local charities. - Music in the Park, to be held from 6-8 p.m., will move from Owen Park to the Boys & Girls Club of the Greater Chippewa Valley, 201 E. Lake St. Music in the Park — featuring Eau Claire indie rock band Meridene at 6 p.m., Shimmy Sisters Belly Dancing at 7 p.m. and the PMA Big Band at 7:15 p.m. — is sponsored by UW-Eau Claire music fraternity Sigma Alpha Iota.
