Summer health insurance available to students

RELEASED: May 6, 2010

EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Student Senate invites new and returning students to consider the UW-Eau Claire student health insurance plan.

The plan is prorated for summer coverage only. Coverage from June 8-Aug. 25 costs $225 for students 30 and younger, and $290 for students 31 and older. Other rates apply for spouse and family coverage.

Students may stop by the Student Senate office, Davies Center 132, or visit the Student Senate website for information about eligibility and enrollment.

The student health insurance program is provided by the UW-Eau Claire Student Senate through insurance agent Donald Southard Sr. of Southard Insurance Agency and underwritten by Columbian Life Insurance Co.
