Media Memo: Alcohol awareness event slated for March 17

SUBJECT:  Alcohol awareness event slated for March 17

Students who are part of the UW-Eau Claire Center for Alcohol Studies and Education Peer Educators Program will conduct free blood alcohol checks for students on St. Patrick's Day.

The checks will be available from 10 p.m. Wednesday, March 17, to 1 a.m. Thursday, March 18, on Water Street.

The goal of the event is to help make students aware of their blood alcohol levels during their St. Patrick's Day celebrations.

As part of the alcohol awareness event, the peer educators will provide pizza and water to students participating in the program.
