Panel of women to discuss their experiences in higher education

RELEASED: March 12, 2001

EAU CLAIRE — Women in Higher Education: A Panel Discussion will be held at 5 p.m. March 22 in the Alumni Room of Davies Center at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire as part of Women's History Month.

A six-member panel of UW-Eau Claire staff members will discuss their experiences as women who work in higher education. The event is free and open to the public.

The panelists are Beth DeRosier, records manager, McIntyre Library; Mary Duckworth, residence hall director; Staci Heidtke, arts and sciences internship manager in Career Services; Dr. Mary Hoffman, associate professor and chair of the communication and journalism department; Caitlin Lee, equal opportunity specialist in the Affirmative Action office; and Christine Webster, program associate, Blugold Beginnings.

Patti See, senior student services coordinator in the Academic Skills Center and senior lecturer for women's studies, will moderate the discussion.

The event is hosted by Women's and Gender Equity Center, Commission on the Status of Women, and Women in Higher Education.
