EAU CLAIRE — A new blog at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire will allow the university community to more easily see the breadth of sustainability initiatives being advanced across the campus, said Dr. Kate Hale Wilson, campus sustainability fellow.
"I've been inviting folks from every active area I'm aware of to report news of their area's sustainability initiatives," Hale Wilson said. "The response so far has been encouraging. There is a lot going on across the campus and there is great interest about these issues within the campus community. The blog is another way to share information and get people involved."
Hale Wilson said the blog will benefit the campus community in several ways:
The news about sustainability efforts should energize the campus community, serving as a catalyst for continued change, Hale Wilson said.
"My biggest hope is that the blog can create a sense of connection among all those who are working to create a more sustainable campus," Hale Wilson said. "I am deeply impressed by the efforts and interest from all over campus, and I think it's important that we all get to see the real work being done, being shared by so many committed students, staff and faculty."
The blog can be found at http://sustainuwec.blogspot.com/.
