RELEASED: Jan. 28, 2010

EAU CLAIRE — University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Continuing Education is pleased to announce the winners of its Fourth Annual Summer Institute Design-a-Cover Contest.

Students in grades K-5 were invited to send in drawings, paintings, sculptures or dioramas representing this year's theme, "My Best Summer Day." This year's winners all attend schools in Eau Claire. The winning entry was submitted by Hayden Kinstler, a kindergarten student at Sherman Elementary School. His design will be featured as the front cover of Continuing Education's 2010 summer brochure. Kinstler also will receive a gift certificate for a free Summer Institute class.

Second place went to Devany Rindy, a 4th-grade student at Robbins Elementary School. Katie Andrews, a 1st-grader at Immaculate Conception School, was awarded the third place prize. These students also will be given gift certificates to use toward a Summer Institute class.

This year's Summer Institute will be held June 14-24 in Chippewa Falls and July 12-22 in Eau Claire. Classes will be offered in all subject areas for students in grades K-5.
