University Writing Center announces student workshop series

RELEASED: Feb. 23, 2010

EAU CLAIRE — The University Writing Center at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire will hold a Student Workshop Series open to all undergraduate and graduate students. The sessions will be held at designated times in February through April in Room 2023 of McIntyre Library.

  • "Cover Letters" will be held at noon Feb 24 and 3:30 p.m. Feb. 25. The workshop is co-sponsored by Career Services and the University Writing Center.
  • "Graduate School Statements" will feature a guest speaker from UW-Eau Claire's Graduate Studies and will be held at 11 a.m. March 8 and 4:30 p.m. March 9.
  • "Understanding MLA, APA and Chicago Style Citations" will be held at 11:30 a.m. April 6 and 4 p.m. April 7.

Each session is offered twice per month to accommodate students' schedules. Students are not required to attend both of the monthly sessions.

The workshops will offer students the chance to receive feedback on their work and meet individually with employees of the University Writing Center to improve on their writing skills.
