Spring seminars scheduled for area speech-language pathologists

RELEASED: Feb. 17, 2010

EAU CLAIRE — The College of Education and Human Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire will host a number of professional seminars for speech-language pathologists as part of the Spring 2010 Pro-Sem Colloquium series. The seminars will be held in Room 226 of the Human Sciences and Services building on Water Street.

Dr. Frank Cirrin of the Minneapolis School District will present "Curriculums & Facilitating Language Development in the Classroom" from 1-4 p.m. March 12.

A rehabilitation panel of local speech-language pathologists will discuss "Algorithms for Clinical Decision Making in Sub-Acute & Long-Term Rehabilitation" from 1-3 p.m. April 9. A moderator will focus the discussion on the diverse approaches to clinical assessment and intervention.

John Henry of Fairview Medical Center will present "The SLP and Cochlear Implant Teams: Pre-, During- and Post-Implant Involvement" from 1-3 p.m. April 23.
