EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire forensics team placed fifth in the Ice Box Classic tournament Feb. 5-6 in St. Cloud, Minn.
Individual results are as follows:
Sophomore Natalie Hunter, Vadnais Heights, Minn., placed third in informative speaking, qualifying for the American Forensic Association tournament in that event. She also took second in prose and third in dramatic interpretation.
Hunter also won individual sweepstakes and took first in poetry, which qualified her for the National Forensic Association tournament in that event.
Freshman Nicole Korbisch, Birnamwood, placed fifth in informative speaking and fifth in poetry, qualifying for NFA in both events. She also made it to the semi-finals in prose.
Sophomore Emily Gresbrink, Rochester, Minn., placed fifth in prose. She also took sixth in persuasion.
Junior Kindra Kressin, Champion, Neb., placed sixth in prose.
