Two classified staff members announce retirements

RELEASED: Dec. 14, 2010

EAU CLAIRE — Two members of University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire's classified staff have announced they have retired or will retire soon.

Betty Feia, a university services program associate in the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs, will retire after 39 years of service. She also worked in business outreach, Admissions and Registration at the university. Prior to her employment at UW-Eau Claire, she worked in Admissions and Registrar's offices at UW-Stout and at the UW-Madison School of Business.

La Vone Sneen, a university services program associate in Continuing Education/UW-Extension, will retire after 32 years of service. Sneen, who holds a bachelor's degree from UW-Stout, was active in coordinating the annual Senior Americans Day on campus. She also previously worked in the UW-Eau Claire Financial Aid office. Prior to joining the university, she worked at the Northern Wisconsin Center for the Developmentally Disabled in Chippewa Falls.
