SUBJECT: UW-Eau Claire alumni responses to national survey
UW-Eau Claire received higher positive responses than both the UW System and national median responses to several questions in a recent national survey of young university alumni (ages 25-39). The survey, conducted by the American Council on Education, asked 400 alumni from each participating institution about their educational experiences and their overall view of American colleges and universities. Eleven UW System institutions participated in the survey. (See UW System news release.)
The following are percentages of UW-Eau Claire alumni who answered "yes" compared to UW System and national median positive response rates on several of the survey questions:
"Do you believe that America's colleges and universities are prepared to meet the challenges of the future?"
"Upon graduation, were you effectively prepared with the knowledge and skills you needed?"
"If you could begin again, would you choose to attend the same school?"
"Do you think that YOUR college or university charged you a fair price for your college education?"
"Given the time dedicated to your degree and the money spent on tuition, all in all do you believe your college education was worth it?"
