SUBJECT: Impact on UW-Eau Claire faculty, staff of proposed UW System pay increase

A 2 percent pay increase for UW System faculty and staff proposed by system President Kevin Reilly is being debated and voted on by the system's Board of Regents today and tomorrow during the regents' December meeting at UW-Madison.

Some recent reporting has indicated the pay increase would not apply to UW-Eau Claire faculty and staff. To clarify, such a pay increase would apply to UW-Eau Claire academic staff and administrators but not to unionized faculty and classified staff, who would need to negotiate any pay increases through collective bargaining.
