RELEASED: Dec. 6, 2010 
EAU CLAIRE — The annual Jingle Bell 5K Run/Walk for Arthritis will take place at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Dec. 11. Participants are encouraged to wear a holiday themed costume or tie bells to their shoelaces.
Registration begins at 8 a.m. at Davies Center on the day of the event. Participants also may register online. The run/walk will begin at 9 a.m. Awards will be given to the first three male and female runners to cross the finish line.
The event honors the 1.1 million people from Wisconsin who live with arthritis, and is hosted by the Arthritis Foundation, UW-Eau Claire's Center for Service-Learning and UW-Eau Claire's cross country teams.
Donations will be accepted through the Arthritis Foundation, the principal health organization addressing the needs of the 46 million people living with arthritis, one of the leading causes of disability in Americans.
