Art and Design Video Screening slated for May 13

RELEASED: April 30, 2010

EAU CLAIRE — The second annual Art and Design Video Screening is set for 6 p.m. May 13 in Phillips Recital Hall of the Haas Fine Arts Center.

The event will showcase student video work produced in the Art 383 "Video for Art and Design" course as well as independent student projects. The short videos will range from stop motion animation to silent movies and projects dealing with contemporary personas.

"Exhibiting one's work publicly is an important part of being successful as an artist," said Jyl Kelley, assistant professor of photography. "This presentation gives students an opportunity to promote and exhibit their work in public and gain feedback from a wider audience."

The event is free and open to the public
