EAU CLAIRE — Recreation & Sport Facilities at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire will host the RocknRolla Climbing Competition May 1.
The event, to be held from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. at the indoor climbing wall in Room 210A of the McPhee Physical Education Center, will include routes of varying difficulty. The competition will culminate with a climb-off for the men's and women's divisions at the intermediate and advanced levels.
This year's RocknRolla Climbing Competition is the first on campus since 2005. It also is the first to offer participation from those outside the university community. Before April 23 the registration fee is $20 for the public and $15 for students and includes an event T-shirt. After April 23 the registration fee is $25 for the public and $20 for students. The competition, which is limited to 50 participants, will include a prize raffle.
