Will Hutchinson to perform free concerts

RELEASED: April 21, 2010

Arrive CD by Will Hutchinson
Will Hutchinson

EAU CLAIRE — Will Hutchinson will play three free shows at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire April 30-May 1. He will perform in The Cabin of Davies Center at 11:30 a.m. and 8 p.m. April 30 and at 8 p.m. May 1.

Originally from Lincoln, Neb., Hutchinson moved to Minneapolis in 2005 for its thriving music scene and the University of Minnesota. After four years of writing music, he produced his debut CD, "Arrive" (2007). The album is a compilation of his struggle finding his place in a big city, his self-doubts about making it as a musician and the unexpected love he found in the Twin Cities.

"Will Hutchinson has stepped onto the music scene with a knock-out album," wrote The Silver Tongue. "This ten-track collection never lets you down, pounding you with one solid song after another. His voice is beautiful, the melodies happy, the lyrics strong, and the harmonies dead on."

Cabin performances are free and open to all ages. Soft drinks, domestic and imported beer, specialty coffee drinks and tea are sold at all evening programs. Proof of age is required for beer purchases.

All performances are produced and managed by student members of The Cabin Committee of the Student Senate's University Activities Commission. For a complete schedule, call the Activities and Programs office at 715-836-4833 or visit The Cabin website.
