Campus, community members urged to donate items for swap event

RELEASED: April 14, 2010

EAU CLAIRE — The Women's and Gender Equity Center at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire will host "Swap-o-Rama," an event offering an alternative to consumerism, from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. May 5 on the campus mall. The event will be moved to The Cabin of Davies Center if it rains.

Students, faculty, staff and community members are invited to give, take and trade clothing, books, DVDs, shoes, jewelry and other accessories they no longer need. Any items left over will be donated to Goodwill.

Items may be dropped off beginning April 21 in the WAGE office (Room 38) or the WAGE lounge (Room 34) of Schofield Hall.
