March yourself into 'Job Search Boot Camp'

RELEASED: April 13, 2010

Possiblity PeteEAU CLAIRE — Registration is open for Job Search Boot Camp, set for 11 a.m.-3 p.m. April 22 at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.

The daylong workshop for sharpening job search skills is free and open to UW-Eau Claire students and alumni, and will be held in Davies Center on lower campus.

The event includes:

  • Mock interviews with local hiring professionals. Interviews will be available every 30 minutes starting at 11 a.m., with 10 minutes reserved for a discussion and pointers for the interviewee. Interviews will be in the Council Fire Room of Davies Center. Bring a resume and dress appropriately.
  • Resume reviews conducted by the Career Services staff. Get valuable feedback and help with adapting your resume to fit your current career goals.
  • Job search workshops will be offered from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. A complete list is available online.
  • Featured presentations include "LinkedIn for Job Searchers," "Mayo Clinic: Social Media and the Job Search" (includes free pizza lunch), "Excellence: How your UW-Eau Claire degree sets you apart to employers" and "Negotiating Salaries and Equity."

The event is sponsored by CINTAS and UW-Eau Claire Career Services.
