Media Memo: Area education leaders on campus today

SUBJECT:  Area education leaders on campus today

Principals, superintendents and other education administrators from a number of western Wisconsin school districts will be on campus TODAY (April 9) to participate in a series of discussions with UW-Eau Claire education faculty and students.

Multiple sessions will run from 1:30-3:30 p.m. in classrooms in the Campus School building on lower campus.

The "2010 Meet the Districts" event gives area education leaders an opportunity to tell education faculty and future teachers about the skills and behaviors they expect to see in their teachers and administrators.

Examples of sessions include "What Principals Look for"; "Classroom Management"; "Getting the Job, Keeping the Job: What Districts Value"; "Networking"; and "Professionalism."

This is the third year the university has hosted the event.
