Still Time to Take a Fall Tour of McIntyre Library

RELEASED: Sept. 25, 2009

EAU CLAIRE — It's not too late for new University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire faculty, staff and students to take a short tour of McIntyre Library offered for the fall semester. Tours began Sept. 14 and will continue through Oct. 8.

Tours are offered at 5:30 p.m. Mondays, 3 p.m. Tuesdays, 10 a.m. Wednesdays and noon Thursdays.

Those who would like to join a tour group should meet in the library's Grand Corridor couch seating area near the display cases outside the library.

Tours offer members of the campus community opportunities to explore the library's physical space and to get an overview of the services the library provides.

Tour participants will learn where to locate books and journal articles; how to ask a question online or in person; how to schedule a group study room, including those with plasma screens and other technologies; how to check out materials, including DVDs, CDs, laptops and digital cameras; and how to locate call numbers.

For more information about the tours, call the Reference Desk at 715-836-3858 or e-mail library.reference@uwec.edu. To schedule a library information literacy instruction session, contact your library liaison or the Reference Desk.
