UW-Eau Claire Mortar Board
Recognizes Members and Faculty

RELEASED: Sept. 22, 2009

EAU CLAIRE — The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire chapter of Mortar Board recently initiated 27 new members. Mortar Board is a national honor society that recognizes seniors for achievement in scholarship, leadership and service.The UW-Eau Claire chapter was recognized at the national Mortar Board Conference this summer with a Gold Torch Award for chapter excellence. The newly elected officers are Pat Delehanty, Verona, president; Jeremy Carlson, Wisconsin Rapids, vice president/membership chair; Brandon Trimbell, Hortonville, treasurer/Web publisher; Stephanie Schiefelbein, Hastings, Minn., secretary; Deborah Ernie, Hudson; communications director; and Tara Dettle, Superior, Historian.

New Mortar Board honorary members also recognized during the initiation ceremonies include Ms. Gail M. Hason-Brenner, clinical instructor, nursing; Dr. Rhetta L. Standifer, assistant professor, management and marketing, and Dr. Todd A. Wellnitz, assistant professor, biology.
