Clean Commute Kickoff Celebration
Set for Sept. 8 at UW-Eau Claire

bike riderEAU CLAIRE — The Clean Commute Initiative at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire will host a celebration and kickoff event for faculty, staff and students from 6 to 8 p.m. Sept. 8 in the Hibbard Hall Penthouse, with pizza and refreshments provided by UW-Eau Claire's sustainability fellow Kate Hale Wilson. University students and employees interested in campus sustainability initiatives, specifically with regard to clean commuting to and from campus, are encouraged to attend.

The event will highlight the 2008-09 accomplishments of the Clean Commute Initiative. The group also will look ahead to what this year will bring and how it can continue to encourage all faculty, staff and students to work toward a culture of sustainable transportation.

The public is encouraged to read the complete Clean Commute Initiative resolution and see a list of initial signees. Faculty, staff and students will have the opportunity to sign the resolution at the Sept. 8 event.
