EAU CLAIRE — Contemporary art exhibit "(re)Visions: (di)Visions" will run Nov. 5-25 in the Foster Gallery of the Haas Fine Arts Center at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.

An opening reception will begin at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 5.

The exhibition will explore applications of assemblage and collage as formal and conceptual elements in contemporary art. The pieces range in process and media to offer a current view of additive and subtractive processes that fragment, combine and recreate. The artists create something new by combining multiple pieces and processes. Nearly 40 pieces of art in several mediums will be exhibited, including photography, ceramics, sculpture fabric and encaustic.

The show will display the works of 12 nationally and internationally renowned artists. The artists are: Sebastiaan Bremer, Christian Holstad, Sarah Bridgland, Jeffrey Porterfield, Miranda Lake, Wendy Walgate, Martin Westwood, Evern Tekinoktay, John Bock, Jim Lambie, Lara Schnitger and Martin Soto Climent.

The artists have had their work displayed in prestigious galleries around the world, including the Glasgow Museum of Modern Art, the Hirshorn Museum in Washington, D.C., and the Hara Museum of Contemporary Art in Tokyo.

Foster Gallery hours are 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, 6-8 p.m. Thursday and 1-4:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Entry to the gallery is free and open to the public.
